Description
Naming
Triumph hops are a fairly new variety released by the USDA public hop breeding program. It is named after the famous motorcycle brand.
Origin Story
Its official launch was in 2019 but this hop had been in development for almost two decades. Its lineage includes hops such as Nugget, Brewers Gold, East Kent Goldings, and Hallertau Mittelfrüh.
Characteristics
They call it the perfect lager hop but it has also carved out a place for itself among fruit ales and IPAs due to its bright aromas of lime, orange and white peach.
Triumph although it is more delicate than other varieties,
it has a robust enough bittering capacity to be used in a wide range of styles from lagers to big IPAs.
