Origin Story

LemonDrop™ is a cross between Cascade and USDA 19058 male, bred in 2001. It was originally developed by Hopsteiner as Experimental #01210 and released in 2012.  It has “unique lemon-citrus character with a pleasant aroma.”

Characteristics

LemonDrop™ is an aroma hop that is typically used in only late boil additions, including dry hopping.

It offers strong citrus, floral, fruity, herbal, lemon, mint, green tea, light melon aromas, which works well with lighter beers, session ales and wild ales.
