Description
Naming
Idaho is known as “The Gem State” due to its mining history. This hop is an Idaho Gem™
Origin Story
Idaho Gem™ is the first-named variety from Gooding Farms in Wilder, Idaho. It is a found variety with unknown genetics, but it has already proven itself as a standout hop that is bursting with bright red cherries.
Characteristics
High levels of sweet, fruit-forward aromatic oils make Idaho Gem™ ideal for late kettle additions or dry hopping in a wide variety of styles.
Idaho Gem is capable of holding its own as a single hop, and works well in combination with Citra ®, Mosaic ®, Sabro™, and BRU-1™.
